To encourage and strengthen the life of the Spirit in resident students during their studies at Pendle Hill, Pendle Hill offers a program of spiritual nurture and support. Every student is paired with a member of the staff who serves as spiritual nurturer for that student. The two meet for an hour each week.
The meeting is a time for deep listening to the movement of the Spirit. The form of the meeting is open to the gifts and interests of the two people involved. It may include worship, prayer, dialogue, journaling, or some creative process. These meetings provide a structure for reviewing progress towards personal and spiritual goals. Note that the student/spiritual nurturer relationship is not a professional therapeutic one.
