Photography as Mystical Transformation
Blair Seitz Tuesday, 15 February 2011
Blair’s career has ventured from
photojournalism in Africa and Asia to Pennsylvania landscape and garden photography.
He has been the photographer for 21 books, including Gardens of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Natural Beauty and Pennsylvania’s Tapestry: Scenes from the Air. His essays have appeared in Pacific Magazine, Topic and South China Post (Hong Kong), and his photos have been used in numerous exhibits such as the World Exhibition of Photography, and various newspapers and magazines, including Christian Science Monitor, Natural History, Newsweek, New York Times Magazine and National Geographic Society publications. Currently, reborn as an art photographer with concern about Earth's survival, he practices meditation and art as a means of transforming from a
Western mindset to a mystical encounter with God and creation as Oneness. Blair is a member of Seaville (NJ) Monthly Meeting.
