Come to the EarthQuaker Bike Trip send-off event Thursday, June 19 in the Barn  

 

Enjoy an evening with Friends living the testimony for stewardship of the earth.  Come to Pendle Hill's Barn at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 19 to celebrate the departure of the EarthQuaker Roadtrip, an 8-day intergenerational ecowitness bicycling trip from Pendle Hill to the Friends General Conference Summer Gathering in Johnstown, PA.  Speakers will include George Owen, Pendle Hill's sustainability coordinator; Pat McBee of the Friends Center green building project; and Hollister Knowlton of Quaker Earthcare Witness.  Organic snacks will be served.
 
The organizers are Carl McGruder and Emma Churchman, both students in Pendle Hill's 2007-2008 Resident Program.
