Timing
Unless otherwise noted, programs begin with registration at 4:30 p.m. on the opening day. Weekend programs end after 1:00 p.m. dinner on Sunday. Short course participants depart on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. after meeting for worship. Summer retreats and courses end after 12:30 lunch on Thursday.
Registration Fee
We request full payment in order to guarantee your reservation. If you cannot make full payment, please call to register.

Cancellation Policy
Program fees will be refunded in full (less a $50 processing fee) if you cancel fourteen or more days prior to the starting date of the program. If you cancel between fourteen days and one day in advance, a nonrefundable credit (less a $50 processing fee) will be held for one year from the starting date of the program. No credit or refund is available if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or on the program’s arrival day, if you do not come, or if you leave an event early for any reason.
Pendle Hill reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. If this occurs, you will be given a complete refund. Please confirm with Pendle Hill before making travel reservations.
Price and Room Policies
Listed prices for overnight programs include room, board, and tuition. When registering please request either a private room or shared room. Participants in the summer spiritual retreats will be assigned a private room. Otherwise, private rooms are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, with consideration given to those with special needs. The commuter rate includes lunch and dinner during the program.
Computers and Internet Access
There are internet connected workstations and a wireless network in our library available 24 hours a day to allow access to email.
Animals and Smoking
We cannot accommodate animals other than certified guide animals. Smoking is permitted on the grounds but not in any building.
Discounts and Extended Stay
We offer discounted rates for those enrolling in weekend programs and short courses or summer retreats within the same week. We also offer a discounted sojourning rate for those who come before, stay after, or remain at Pendle Hill between programs in which they are enrolled. Join our resident community for daily meeting for worship, mealtime fellowship, and relaxation. Call the registrar at extension 3 to arrange for your extended stay.
Getting to Pendle Hill
Our location outside of Philadelphia makes Pendle Hill easily reachable by air, rail, and car. Directions will be sent about two weeks before the program begins. Travel directions may be found here.
Meals
We serve home-cooked, nutritious meals. Entrees may include vegetarian and vegan dishes, fish, poultry, and red meat. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives are provided whenever meat is served. More information about our Food Philosophy may be found here
Shared Work
Part of the Pendle Hill experience is shared work. Summer term resident students will participate in community work morning. Those attending short courses and summer workshops and retreats may be invited to participate in work morning and in daily work lasting about half an hour. There is work available for all levels of ability.
Pendle Hill Matching Scholarships
Pendle Hill has a small fund for matching grants. If you are sponsored by a non-profit organization, Pendle Hill may be able to match a grant from the non-profit up to one-half of the fee for a short course, retreat, or weekend program.
