Shaping clay is a process that often has results much greater than the production of a pot. In this course we will dig into the earth of Pendle Hill to find clay and seek inspiration both within our hearts and through engagement with each other. Encouraging creativity to abound, we will make lots of pots, each one unique, while discovering how shaping clay can help shape each of us.

Bob Deane has been a ceramicist for more than 25 years. A ceramics arts teacher at the Wallingford Community Arts Center adjacent to Pendle Hill, he was a live-in caretaker there from 1991 through 2004.
