JenniferElamJennifer Elam works as a psychologist. While a student at Pendle Hill from 1996 to 1998, she discovered arts as a spiritual practice, which has been an important part of her life ever since. She has taught Arts and Spirituality courses in many places from prison to Quaker meetings.

She leads art retreats and has had many art shows. She is the author of Dancing with God Through the Storm and considers writing to be her deepest calling; she also loves to listen to the stories of people's lives. In her teaching at Pendle Hill, she hopes to bring together visual art with the written word so that people can share their stories in community.

Conversations

"I enjoy just 'being' at Pendle Hill – walking around the grounds, admiring the flora, catching up on reading, and catching my breath in the midst of a full and busy life."

– Anthony Manusos '88
