The Pendle Hill Library welcomes all students, staff, residents and visitors.
The Library operates on an honor based check-out system. It is a comfortable place to find books or information, or to just browse.
The Library serves the community with an extensive collection of Quaker books. The areas of religion, social activism and peace studies are also well represented. There is also a large fiction collection.
Library Collections
The collections of the Library are housed in three different buildings on the Pendle Hill campus: Firbank, Upmeads and Main House.
The Library's primary location is Firbank. Many of the resident program classes are held here.
A significant part of the Quaker collection is located in Upmeads, in the beautiful library room of that residence. Many of the books in this part of the collection are very old and rare. The oldest date to the 1600's.
The journals are located in Main House. There are many Quaker journals, as well as some popular and alternative-press publications.
