Quaker Coalition for Uprooting Racism (QCUR) 2024 Cohort Applications

The Quakers Uprooting Racism program is a nine-month transformative experience. It brings together a diverse cohort of Friends and those at the margins of Quakerism.

From January-October 2024, participants will cultivate skills to recognize and disrupt racism within and outside Quaker communities. Through monthly Zoom sessions, online small group meetings, and three retreats, participants will engage in profound dialogue, share insights, and co-create teaching tools and action resources for anti-racism work. We will explore the intersections of racial justice and Quakerism, seeking to dismantle oppressive systems and foster transformation and healing.

The program facilitators, Lisa Graustein and Dwight Dunston, are Friends and leaders in racial justice work. They will guide and inspire the cohort through their wisdom, experience, and deep commitment to transformation. Their Spirit-led leadership, expertise, and compassionate presence will create a nurturing space for personal and collective growth.

As the journey unfolds, expect moments of deep self-reflection, courageous conversations, and the forging of lifelong connections. By joining the Quakers Uprooting Racism program, you become part of a thriving community that seeks to embody the principles of liberation, justice, and inclusivity. Together, we can create a future where racial justice flourishes and all individuals are valued and respected.
