Spreading the Fire: Challenging and Encouraging Friends through Travel in the Ministry

By Debbie Humphries

Pendle Hill Pamphlet #436 (April 2016)

Price: $7.50

Synopsis

In earlier times, far-flung Quaker meetings looked for spiritual deepening in the visits of traveling ministers. Debbie Humphries is one present-day Friend who has responded to a call to travel in ministry. In this new pamphlet she describes her preparation to serve this call faithfully and shares what she has learned from her experiences. One of her discoveries is that contemporary Friends derive much enrichment from the real-time, face-to-face worshipful encounters that take place through visiting ministry.
