Synopsis
In Patterns and Examples, Geoffrey Hubbard considers the application of Quaker attitudes to foreign policies. He suggests that the institutions of Europe offer a model for development beyond the nation state. He discusses how policies directed towards preserving peace, human rights, and the integrity of creation, though hardly practicable for a single country, could be pursued at the European level, thus offering an example of international collaboration in the interests of human survival rather than human greed.
