Arts & Spirituality
A core component of our educational offerings at Pendle Hill is nurturing creativity through arts and spirituality. Enjoy time in the Art Studio, participate in a class or workshop, or simply explore the different gallery exhibits in the Barn.
Art Studio Open Hours
The art studio is open to the public daily from 8 am – 8 pm. All are invited to use this space to draw, paint, collage, sculpt, sew, crochet, and create!
If you’d like to use the studio, please stop by the Registration desk in the Barn to check in and purchase your day pass. Day passes are $15 for guests, and $10 for sojourners (individuals staying overnight for a personal retreat).
Guests are welcome to stop by Main House for coffee and tea during their stay. If you’d like to join us for a meal, please make your reservation at least 24 business hours in advance by contacting info@pendlehill.org.

Gallery Exhibits
The Beauty in Everything is a collection of photographs by artist Jan-Niklas Kuhn. Jan has been with Pendle Hill for the past year as a German volunteer serving on the Facilities & Grounds Crew. His exhibit combines the conventionally and unconventionally beautiful. Most people would not describe a collection of garbage around a dumpster as something worth seeing. But a closer look allows you to find some stories. These places are people’s playgrounds and everyone who passes them leaves their mark. The exhibit will be on display in the Barn through September.
The Pendle Hill Chorus
The Pendle Hill Chorus is a non-audition community chorus that draws singers from across the tri-state area. Singing since 1993, our repertoire of sacred and secular music from around the world is challenging yet accessible.
All are welcome regardless of musical or choral experience. While the ability to read music is useful, it is not a requirement. Individual audio/visual study files and periodic vocal section sessions are provided. The only requirement is a commitment to learning the music and supporting each other through attendance at weekly rehearsals. Learn about upcoming rehearsals and concerts.
