Synopsis
A brief yet learned account of the “testimony” of the English Quaker leader James Nayler.
Author Dorothy Nimmo (1932-2001) was a British poet and winner of the prestigious Cholmondeley Award in 1996. Educated in York and Cambridge, she worked as an actress in London before spending the 1960s in Geneva, returning to England in 1970 and living in Peterborough. In 1989, Nimmo gained an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and subsequently won awards at the Cardiff, Bridport, South Manchester, and Prema competitions as well as a guest stint as poet at the Aldeburgh Festival in November 1995.
