Synopsis

Hilltop Farm is a memoir of an experiment in communal subsistence living situated in Jamaica, Vermont, from 1941 to 1945. The story is based on journals and correspondence from that time. It was compiled, transcribed, edited, and published by siblings, now in the ’80s, who lived at Hilltop Farm during the formative years of their youth (Pendle Hill plays a significant role in the story).
