Synopsis
“It is very difficult for your teachers to explain the horror of the atomic bomb to all of you that have not experienced war. Why do they want to teach you about war and the atomic bomb? It is because they want you to be well aware of the horror of war, so that you will forever protect peace and build a happy world.”
This book is written from the point of view of a big camphor tree which underwent the atomic bombing of Nagasaki but, remarkably, survived.
