Synopsis
This booklet is an attempt to give a picture of Quakerism which speaks not only to the many who have no Christian or other religious roots but also to those “believers” who have problems with doctrine. It attempts to answer questions about Quakerism by showing how our lives are grounded in our understanding of this Light and practiced in our worship, in our lives, and in the organization of the Society of Friends. I hope it shows also that Quakerism is a joyful approach to religion, not the dour, negative one that its public reputation implies.
