Synopsis
Friends have a long, storied history of the value and promise of personal narrative. To Love the Earth: A New Way of Being Human offers a memory of sorts, in the form of a personal narrative written by Alwyn Moss, a now 88-year-old Friend who worships with Blacksburg Friends Meeting in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Alwyn offers readers a rich story that flows from her deepening and blossoming relationship with the Earth: from her early experiences growing up in New York City to her work as a writer and organizer, to her more recent advocacy and successful protection of an ecosystem she holds dear.
