As the November Presidential election nears, thoughtful leaders are worrying about the possibility of a power grab should the vote be close with procedures challenged. George Lakey believes a coup attempt is unlikely, but notes that the President refuses to say he will abide by the electoral result.

Prudent people like insurance. (Lloyds of London began as a Quaker firm.) How in today’s situation can Quakers join others in creating a Plan B should the worst happen? George will bring a lifetime of nonviolent research and action to this question, drawing on the experience of other countries that have faced authoritarian power grabs.
