Synopsis
Elfrida Vipont’s skillful portrayal of a young girl’s development – as a woman and famous singer – sets the framework for this Carnegie Medal Winner. A sequel to The Lark in the Morn, where Kit Haverard discovered her talent for singing, The Lark on the Wing shows Kit determined to pursue her singing career. Fighting against family opposition, upon graduation she decides to set off for London on her own.
