Peg Morton is an active member of Eugene, Oregon, Friends Meeting. She has volunteered with the Committee in Solidarity with the Central American People in Eugene and with the local chapters of Witness for Peace and the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee. She has traveled to Guatemala five times to accompany on a short-term basis people whose lives were in danger and to study Spanish. She participated in short-term delegations to Nicaragua in 1987 and to Cuba in 1996. She was an observer for the elections in El Salvador in 1994.
