Every year, Pendle Hill brings scholars, artists, and activists to campus as part of our long-term project residencies program. Lasting anywhere from eight to twelve weeks and offering free room and board, we try to provide meaningful encouragement for reflection and work on important projects. Our three most popular programs are the Minnie Jane Artist-In-Residence, the Cadbury Scholarship, and the Kenneth Carroll Scholarship for Biblical and Quaker Studies.
Our selections for all three programs are now set for FY 2017, but we still have a placement available this summer for someone who could use the Carroll Scholarship this year.
Would eight to twelve weeks of time at Pendle Hill this summer help you move your project on Biblical and Quaker Studies forward? Would you benefit from daily worship, a spiritual community, amazing local and organic food, walks around our grounds, and access to the libraries at Swarthmore College (with loan privileges)?
If so, please go to the Scholarships & Residencies page of our website to download the application, or contact Steve Chase, Director of Education, at 610-566-4507, ext. 123.
We would love to hear from you soon.
