We are excited to announce the hire of our new Director of Education, Steve Chase.

For the last 13 years, Steve has been the Educational Director of Antioch University New England’s environmental studies master’s program in Advocacy for Social Justice and Sustainability.
Steve is also the author of numerous articles on faith, social activism, environmental justice, sustainability, and the Transition Movement, including an essay on the Transition Movement in the 2014 book, Achieving Sustainability: Visions, Principles, and Practices. He has also published frequently in Friends Journal, as well as written pieces for Quaker Life, Western Friend, BeFriending Creation, and Sojourners. He is currently co-writing a booklet for the Quaker Institute for the Future entitled Creating Beloved Communities: A Primer on the Transition Town Movement for People of Faith.
Steve will begin work with Pendle Hill on October 1st. We look forward to welcoming him and his partner Katy Locke into our community!
