Recipe: Simple Smoothies

smoothiesThese smoothies start with very ripe bananas. When you have bananas that are past their prime, peel and freeze them. At Pendle Hill they often end up in this breakfast treat.

In a blender, blend until smooth:

  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup milk, rice milk, or soymilk
  • pinch nutmeg
  • pinch cinnamon

Optional: add to taste fresh or frozen berries, orange juice concentrate, yogurt. Delicious with raspberries!

Serves 4.  Enjoy!
