Many of us are experiencing the greatest amount of uncertainty we have ever encountered in our lifetimes. Many are also facing the death of family members and friends without being able to be near them or are feeling anxious about not being able to comfort them as they face life-threatening illness. And we are facing other kinds of losses, too. How do we remain grounded as we face the grief and fear we acknowledge as part of our individual and collective landscapes?

From our experience with John Calvi’s talk on “Love in the Time of Coronavirus” (available on our YouTube channel, Pendle Hill USA, by clicking here), we learned that we need to explore this question more deeply and provide room for participants to share with each other on these matters of concern. In a 90-minute Zoom format, we will hear briefly again from John about grief and fear and how our personal histories affect how we experience these emotions. Then, we will break into small groups for reflection and sharing before we reconvene to see what learning has emerged from our experience together.
