Pendle Hill Chorus: Spring Concert 2019

Jun 5, 2019

Free and open to the public!

All ages welcome.

8-9pm in the Barn

Dreams That You Dare to Dream is the theme of the Pendle Hill Community Chorus’s spring concert, Wednesday evening, June 5 from 8:00 to 9:00pm in the Barn Meeting Room at Pendle Hill. Directed by Jacqueline Coren, chorus, soloists and instrumentalists will offer an uplifting musical antidote to some of the challenges we currently face in our world today. Special musical guests will be members of the 5th and 6th grade classes from Lansdowne Friends School.

The theme of the concert is drawn from the iconic, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Harold Arlen. Among the other offerings will be music by John Lennon, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, Billy Joel, and others. Five different languages will be represented in the concert. As is traditional, there will be opportunities for audience participation during the concert as well as in our community sing-along that concludes the program. The program is entirely child-friendly, both in content and length, and refreshments will be served afterwards.
